S H O W S  back to SHOW DIARIES Savage Garden - October 6th, 2006 Thanksgiving weekend. We've played every single long weekend so far this year. I guess this means we've gone from weekday filler to long weekend filler. Sweet! That means it's working! The last time we played at Savage was nearly three years ago, for our Mythelectronicon CD release party. That was a good show, but not as good as this one. We had a pretty sizeable crowd for a long weekend, so that's good. And they actually came up front, rather than standing in the back with their arms crossed, Toronto-style. I love this city but man, what's with the forced apathy? Plus a guy came all the way from Hamilton on a freakin' bus to see us. We talked guitar geekery between songs, so that was an interesting added bonus that I'm sure The non-musicians in the audience were fascinated by. Ian, you're obviously nuts, but we like you despite, or possibly because of, that fact. Big shout-outs (do the kids still say "shout-outs"?) to Cyn, Rebecca, Heather, and The Hussy for helping out at the Merch booth. Also to Crimson for inviting us to play, Paul for doing a great job at sound, and, of course, to all who came out to see us. |
